General Information
  
Wildbrew is a puzzle adventure game where you play as a boy herbals witch who crafts potion and used to solve a puzzle and explore the world. The goal of this project was to have our player explore a rich and reactive world that would evoke the feeling of childlike wonder as they play the game.

In this game, I had a hand in the design several parts of the game, but I was primarily involved in the Level Design and Puzzle Design of the Cave area, the development of the Fairy Circle puzzles, Animal collection puzzles, and lead the development of special plants that rewarded the player with rare resources.

Detailed Information
  
Puzzle Design
  • Wrote the design document and limitations for the special resource plants, then delegate their development to other engineers.
    • Oversee and guild their development to their most polish state.
  • Prototype, iterated, implemented, and polish on several animal collection puzzles on the map.
    • Turtle Puzzle, Bird and Bees Puzzle,
  • Prototyped, iterated, implemented, and polished on all of the fairy circle puzzles.
    • Implement their visual and audio feedback.
    • Create scripts to operate the feedback.
  • I designed the Puzzle and Level for the Cave exterior and interior with paper and grey-box prototypes.
  • Prototyped and hooked up the iteration of the cave puzzle Cave.
  • Iterated on the design the Pig/Frog collectible puzzle based on playtest results.
  • Wrote design documents for plants with behaviors and delegated their development to other developers on the team.
Level Design
  • Grey-boxed early draft of the Cave Puzzle and iterate based on feedback.
  • Grey-boxed the outside Cave area and iterate the geometry based on playtester feedback.
Coding
  • Wrote the code that controls the feedback for the fairy circle.
  • Wrote the code that controls the behavior of the of the Animal collection puzzle.
  • I wrote the code for the movement of platforms in the cave area and their reaction to the activation and deactivation of the Lantern game object.
